Last week, I was browsing through Facebook and I chanced upon an old school friend of mine. I was pleased to know that my friend Susan had already tied the knot and had two beautiful kids. But, what shocked me the most was to see that she was a state level basketball champion. I was astonished to see the level of fitness in a 34 year old married lady, who is also a mother of two.
I got so impressed that I at once took the extra effort of contacting her immediately. The first thing that I asked her was that what her fitness training regime is like. She laughed at my innocent question and replied that she does nothing special. There are a few simple fitness tips that she has incorporated in her daily lifestyle. This fitness plan ensures that she stays fit no matter what.
So I thought of sharing a few of her tips that would help in fitness training.
- Eat your meals at a fixed time. Do not stick to the age old concept of having only 3 meals per day. Now we have so many activities to perform through out the day, that our body needs energy 24×7.Thus, it is important that we keep on having something or the other all day long.
- It is important to choose smart. My friend has junk food but in little quantity. The trick lies in eating smart. She chooses nuts over chips and fruits over puddings. The idea is to ensure that your body gets all the required nutrients without being calorie laden.
- Eat smart and choose foods that are not rich in fat and are not calorie laden.
- Exercising everyday is a must for all. My friend goes for swimming every day. She simply loves to swim and swears by the benefits she derives from it. Some light fitness exercises are also practiced by her on a daily basis.
I would certainly try out these tips and let you know if it makes a difference.
