For example, if your height is 1.6m and your weight is 65 kgms, your BMI would be 25.4. So, if your BMI lies between 18.5 to 24.9 – you are said to be normal. However, if your BMI lies between 25.0 – 29.9, you are considered as overweight. And once your BMI crosses 30, you are considered as obese. And if your BMI comes to 40 or above that you become morbidly obese.
In the present time, child obesity is becoming more intense. The main reason behind obesity among children and youngsters is due to consumption of junk food. Some of the major risk factors associated with overweight and obesity include:
